Margarita Marrero, 71, of Lorain passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013 in Mercy Regional Medical Center, Lorain following a lenghty illness.
Mrs. Marrero was born October 30, 1941 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. She came to Lorain in 1979. She was a supervisor at Goodwill Industries, Lorain. Margarita enjoyed traveling, music, dancing and being with her family.
She will be deeply missed by her husband of 54 years Pedro Marrero of Lorain; daughters Wanda Caribe, Marilyn Gonzalez and Yvette Ortiz all of Lorain; sons Raphael Colon of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Pedro Luis Marrero of Kissimmee, Florida; sisters Luisa Padin and Anna Bermudez both of Aguadilla, Puerto Rico; eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Severo Bermudez and Juana Rodriguez; son-in-law Ruben Caribe and six brothers and sisters.
Her family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. Where her funeral will be Wednesday at 10:00 AM. Manuel Casillas Elder of the Spanish Congregation of the Jehovah's Witnesses, Lorain will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
